Hi, I’m Horus!

My story? Oh, it started like a lot of my furry friends on OnlyPaws. I wasn’t always this happy, a
snuggle ball of fur with a family who spoils me (and lets me hog the bed). Once upon a time, I
was just a face behind a kennel door-waiting. Waiting in a shelter, or a rescue or maybe a
humane society. I don’t really remember where. What I do remember… is the loneliness. No
cozy couch, no belly rubs, no humans to call my own. And I was dreaming of a forever home
and my very own human(s).

I didn’t have a couch to nap on.
No name tag jingling on my collar.
No humans to tell me I was a good boy.

But I hoped. Oh, I hoped with my whole heart that somewhere out there, my humans were
looking for me. The problem? It wasn’t easy! There were sooo many websites to paw through,
and so many places my future humans could be looking. What if I wasn’t on the site they
checked? What if the page was a mess or nobody answered their message? There were many
websites. Some were confusing, some didn’t even show my picture! What if they missed me?
What if they gave up before they ever saw my big, hopeful eyes?

But just when I was starting to wonder if my forever would find me…
They did.
They found me. They chose me. And everything changed.
I have a home now. A name. A squeaky toy that might be destroyed. And a name tag jingling on
my collar.
But best of all? I have love. So much love.

And my humans? They didn’t stop with me. They said, “No more missed connections. No more
lonely paws waiting too long.” So now, they’re making it easier for every animal to find their
human(s)-and for every human to find their perfect pal.

Because every paw deserves a place to land.
